Cameroon's Patrick Ekeng dies after collapsing in Dinamo Bucharest game

Patrick Ekeng, who previously played for Cordoba, died on Friday after playing in a game for Dinamo Bucharest.

BUCHAREST, Romania -- Cameroon international Patrick Ekeng died after he collapsed during a match with Dinamo Bucharest in the Romanian capital on Friday, doctors said. He was 26.

Cristian Pandrea, a spokesman for the Floreasca Emeregency Hospital, said doctors tried for an hour to resuscitate the midfielder but failed. He said the cause of death was not known. Local media said he had a heart attack.

Cordoba: Aston Villa have agreed to sign defender Jose Angel Crespo

Crespo began his career at Sevilla and has also played in Italy.

Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sign defender Jose Angel Crespo from Cordoba, the Spanish club have announced.

Crespo, 28, began his career at Sevilla, where he was part of the squad that won the 2006 UEFA Cup, before playing for Racing Santander, Padova, Bologna and Verona.
