Atlanta United has transferred midfielder Carlos Carmona to Chilean side Colo Colo, the MLS club revealed on Thursday, telling the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the deal was done with a "heavy heart."

Atlanta United technical director Carlos Bocanegra told the AJC that the Five Stripes were reluctant to sell the player, but that the deal was made so that Carmona could be with his wife, who is experiencing complications due to her pregnancy, and is unable to travel.

Southampton loanee Dani Osvaldo scored the winner in his Boca debut on Thursday night.

Argentinian giants Boca Juniors made it two wins from as many games in Group 5 of the Copa Libertadores after edging to a 2-1 victory over Montevideo Wanderers.

Boca began their group campaign with victory over Palestino and took the lead just after the half hour against their Uruguayan visitors when Juan Komar, who replaced Guillermo Burdisso in the 16th minute, headed home from Nicolas Lodeiro's free-kick.
