Huddersfield Town sign Tareiq Holmes-Dennis from Charlton Athletic

Tareiq Holmes-Dennis has joined Championship leaders Huddersfield.

Huddersfield have completed the signing of defender Tareiq Holmes-Dennis from Charlton for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old left-back has signed a three-year contract with the option of a further 12 months after making five starts and nine appearances as a substitute for the Addicks.

Charlton warn fan over social media posts before season ticket purchase

Russell Slade is now in charge of the Addicks.

A Charlton fan has been warned about posting "derogatory or inflammatory comments'' on social media before they were allowed a season ticket.

The London club have confirmed they discussed a fan's behaviour at a meeting with the individual.

A letter had been circulating on social media ahead of Saturday's first home fixture of the season against Northampton which suggested the League One club's issuing of the ticket would be subject to the fan signing an "Agreed Behavioural Contract.''

Johann Berg Gudmundsson helped Iceland to victory over England at Euro 2016.

Burnley have completed the signing of Iceland winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson from Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

Gudmundsson, who was part of Iceland's impressive Euro 2016 campaign, has signed a three-year deal at Turf Moor with an option for a fourth in the club's favour.

The 25-year-old contributed 11 assists for Charlton in the Championship despite their relegation to League One and hopes to now prove his worth in the top flight.

New Charlton head coach Russell Slade has previously managed Leyton Orient and Cardiff City.

Charlton Athletic have appointed Russell Slade as their new manager.

The former Leyton Orient and Cardiff boss replaces Jose Riga, whose second spell in charge ended after Charlton's relegation from the Championship last season.
