Doncaster midfielder Matty Blair is expected to prove his fitness in time for the home game against Carlisle.

Blair sustained a knock in Saturday's defeat at Luton, but should be available to boss Darren Ferguson.

Ferguson has no new injury or suspension problems, but is unlikely to be boosted by the return of any of his injured players. Gary McSheffrey (groin), Craig Alcock (ankle), Paul Keegan, Luke McCullough, Aaron Taylor-Sinclair (all knee) and Mitchell Lund (kidney) are all still out.

Carlisle's unbeaten run rolled on to nine Sky Bet League Two games when a second-half goal from Shaun Miller proved enough to beat Wycombe 1-0.

However, the visitors could consider themselves unfortunate not to earn a share of the spoils when Matt Bloomfield and Scott Kashket saw shots strike the woodwork.

A probing ball from Macaulay Gillesphey provided an early chance for Miller but Jamal Blackman in the Wycombe goal was out quickly to win the race for the ball.

Armand Gnanduillet hit the leveller as Blackpool came from two goals down to snatch a 2-2 draw at home to Carlisle in Sky Bet League Two.

The Seasiders missed a host of chances to take the lead before half-time. Gnanduillet struck the base of a post with a close-range header after 10 minutes before Jack Payne's 25-yard strike was superbly tipped over by Mark Gillespie.

Carlisle goalkeeper Gillespie was instrumental on the stroke of half-time, saving first from Kyle Vassell before denying Tom Aldred...

A Danny Grainger penalty four minutes from time enabled Carlisle to salvage a 2-2 draw against Leyton Orient and preserve the Cumbrians' record as the last unbeaten team in League Two.

Orient twice led through goals from Paul McCallum and Harry Cornick with substitute Charlie Wyke scoring Carlisle's first just after the break.

Carlisle just had the edge in first-half possession, without seriously troubling Alex Cisak, although the goalkeeper was comprehensively beaten in the 30th minute when a Nicky...

Derby County celebrate after finally winning in the 16th round of penalties.

Derby County and Carlisle United matched the record for the longest penalty shootout in an English tournament as the Rams triumphed 14-13 in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.

Timi Max Elsnik beat Mark Gillespie with the 32nd spot kick to send Derby into the third round after the teams had been level at 1-1 after extra time.

Both teams missed in the fourth and eighth round of penalties but were otherwise successful until Scott Carson saved from Joe McKee in the 16th round.

The 32 total kicks matched Scunthorpe...
