Sam Slocombe's penalty save preserved a 0-0 draw for Blackpool at Cambridge.

Slocombe denied U's top scorer Luke Berry 14 minutes from time, diving to his right to repel the spot-kick after Tom Aldred had been shown a straight red card for pulling back Conor Newton as he ran through.

The visiting stopper had twice denied George Maris in the first half, after defender Leon Legge had seen a header kept out by the post inside the first 10 minutes.

Blackpool could have taken the lead 13 minutes before the...

Leeds survived a major first-half scare to win 2-1 at League Two Cambridge and progress into the FA Cup fourth round.

Garry Monk's side were second best throughout the first period and trailed at the interval through Uche Ikpeazu's goal, but hit back in the second half with two goals in eight minutes.

They now go on to face lower league opposition again, having drawn Sutton United or AFC Wimbledon away in the fourth round.

Cambridge looked to attack from the start, with their forward partnership...

Cambridge United boss Shaun Derry expects FA Cup classic against Leeds

Shaka Hislop and Alejandro Moreno debate whether or not the reward of a Champions League berth would improve the FA Cup.

Cambridge United manager Shaun Derry has said he believes the FA Cup third round clash with his former club Leeds United has all the ingredients of a cup classic.

The two teams go into Monday's game at the Abbey Stadium in superb form, with League Two Cambridge recording six wins and a draw in their last seven games, while Championship Leeds have won five and drawn one of their last seven.

Derry, 39, is in his second managerial job after a spell in charge of Notts County and is forging a reputation...

Luke Perry scored twice as Cambridge eased past Notts County 4-0.

They led at half-time courtesy of Berry's 19th-minute goal, which came when he charged down goalkeeper Adam Collin's kick and saw the ball rebound into the net, before blowing their opponents away in the second half.

Uche Ikpeazu made it 2-0, slotting the ball under Collin following Blair Adams' surging run out of defence, before Berry doubled his tally four minutes later.

His first effort was saved by Collin but he was able to scoop...

Substitute Ollie Palmer salvaged a point for Leyton Orient in stoppage time as they drew 1-1 with Cambridge United at Brisbane Road.

The visitors had taken a first-half lead through Harrison Dunk and looked set to add to their five successive Sky Bet League Two wins until Palmer's late intervention.

There was little between the two teams in the opening 20 minutes, although the visitors' Luke Berry saw his ninth-minute cross-cum-shot go across the face of the goal with nobody on hand to apply the final...
