Fleetwood dropped another two points in the race for automatic promotion from League One as they drew 0-0 at lowly Bury.

The Cod Army slipped out of the top two last week after being held to a goalless draw at home to AFC Wimbledon.

And although Kyle Dempsey hit a post for Fleetwood, they now trail second-placed Bolton by six points.

Bobby Grant hit a first-half shot straight at home keeper Joe Murphy before Dempsey fired against the inside of a Bury post from just outside the box.

Millwall dropped out of the Sky Bet League One play-off places as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Bury at The Den.

Shakers striker James Vaughan had the best opportunity of the first half but when through on goal, Lions skipper Tony Craig made a magnificent last-ditch recovery tackle.

Bury's resolute defence frustrated the Lions as they failed to find a way past in-form goalkeeper Joe Murphy, with the Shakers stopper making a stunning save to deny Jed Wallace in the 51st minute.

Bury moved six points clear of the Sky Bet League One drop zone after winning 3-0 at home to 10-man Bristol Rovers.

Stuart Sinclair handed the hosts the initiative as the Pirates midfielder was sent off in the 39th minute after being booked twice for simulation.

Bury then broke the deadlock with a 50th-minute penalty by James Vaughan before Greg Leigh and half-time substitute George Miller ensured the Shakers' ended Rovers' nine-match unbeaten run.

Oldham and Bury stayed just above the Sky Bet League One relegation zone after playing out a tense and scrappy 0-0 draw.

Chances were at a premium between the north-west rivals, with both defences standing strong whenever they faced a spell of pressure.

Bury made an excellent start and could have gone ahead after 10 minutes when Taylor Moore volleyed wide from a good position.

Paul Caddis went close for the Shakers with a shot which deflected over, while Cameron Burgess brought a smart save from Oldham...

Gillingham moved six points clear of the League One relegation zone after winning 2-1 at in-form Bury.

Bradley Dack gave the Gills a 14th-minute lead before Cody McDonald made it 2-0 from just their second effort on target early in the second half.

James Vaughan pulled one back with an overhead kick and Bury struck the woodwork twice in the second half, but the Gills held on to make it two wins from three and leapfrog the hosts.

Bury were on top for most of the contest, with the visitors sitting back...
