Blackburn boss Paul Lambert is likely to pick from the same squad that beat Rotherham for his final match in charge at home to Reading.

The Rovers manager, who announced last week he would not be staying at Ewood Park beyond the end of the season, has one or two niggles to contend with but is optimistic those players will recover.

Defender Tommy Spurr will be sidelined by the Achilles injury that has kept him out for the last five weeks.

Midfielder Hope Akpan also looks set to miss out with an ankle...

Blackburn clinched a first win in seven Sky Bet Championship matches as Shane Duffy's early header lifted them to a 1-0 victory at Rotherham.

Rovers, who announced earlier this week that Paul Lambert would be stepping down as manager at the end of the season, made a superb start to proceedings, scoring from their first serious attack.

The Millers had several opportunities to draw level throughout the match but they ultimately came up short to lose for the first time since February 23.

Paul Lambert to step down as Blackburn boss at end of season

Paul Lambert moved to Blackburn in November.

Blackburn manager Paul Lambert has said he will leave the post at the end of the season.

The Scot has decided to activate a release clause in the two-and-a-half-year deal he signed with the Championship club in November and will step down after the final game of the season against Reading on May 7.

Lambert, 46, said in a statement on the club's official website: "I would like to place on record my thanks to the owners, and especially the players, staff and fans for the tremendous backing and support...

Danny Graham's double helped Blackburn to a 2-2 draw against 10-man Bristol City at Ewood Park as both teams secured Sky Bet Championship safety.

The on-loan Sunderland striker put Rovers ahead in the 17th minute, but City substitute Jonathan Kodjia levelled midway through the second half.

Aaron Wilbraham's eighth of the season then looked to have secured the spoils but Graham had the last laugh with an 80th-minute header.

Danny Graham denied Nottingham Forest caretaker boss Paul Williams his first victory in charge as their winless run stretched to eight games in a 1-1 draw with Blackburn.

Forest had taken a 15th-minute lead through Dexter Blackstock's fourth goal of the season, but Graham replied seven minutes later.

The home faithful were cheered by the sight of a 10-minute cameo from the returning Britt Assombalonga - his first outing in 14 months - but they left largely frustrated once more as their lack of a cutting...
