Below-par Bayern Munich moved six points clear atop the Bundesliga with a last-gasp 2-1 win at SC Freiburg. Eighth-placed Freiburg took the lead through Janik Haberer after only five minutes, before Robert Lewandowski levelled 10 minutes before the break with an exquisite volley from a corner.

In freezing temperatures, a resolute home side gave as good as they got against the Bundesliga champions, and with the game drifting towards a draw, up popped Lewandowski with a last-minute winner as Bayern...

While Bayern had a sub-par performance against Freiburg, Carlo Ancelotti insists that the win is most important.

Carlo Ancelotti credited Bayern Munich's "will to win" after coming from behind to beat Freiburg 2-1 as Robert Lewandowski grabbed a last-minute winner.

Resuming after a month's break from competitive action, Freiburg took the lead against the Bundesliga leaders after only five minutes through Janik Haberer. But Bayern's top scorer Lewandowski restored parity on 35 minutes, volleying home acrobatically from a corner.

Below-par Bayern struggled to break down a resolute Freiburg side for long periods....
