Caretaker boss Olivier Guegan is hoping Reims can halt their slide down the Ligue 1 table with victory over Bastia this weekend.

Guegan was handed the reins last week following the departure of Jean-Luc Vasseur, after a poor run of form left the club just above the relegation zone.

French League president receives death threats, contacts police

Thiriez, 62, made the complaint after a number of threats were made on social media, one of the most disturbing of which was posted before Saturday's Coupe de la Ligue final, and featured balaclava-clad figures holding guns to the heads of two hostages under the tweet: "Bastia supporters have arrived in Paris and are delighted to be with Thiriez's family."

Bastia accuse French League president Frederic Thiriez of racism

ESPN FC's Ross Dyer reacts to the news that PSG and Marseille are boycotting interviews with French TV channel Canal Plus.
PSG head coach Laurent Blanc hailed his side's 4-0 win in the Coupe de la Ligue final.

Bastia have accused French Football League (LFP) president Frederic Thiriez of being "an anti-Corsican racist" and called for him to resign after being infuriated by his actions at Saturday's Coupe de la Ligue final.

Bastia were beaten 4-0 by Paris Saint-Germain, but the Corsican club were left even more angry by the actions of Thiriez, who decided to cancel the habitual prematch protocol when he would normally be introduced to both sets of players.
