Neymar, Torres, red cards and chaos

The ESPN FC crew react to Barcelona's impressive 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon.

Dazed and confused, at the final whistle one question got asked repeatedly: What the hell happened? The answer was simple even if the analysis wasn't: pretty much everything happened. Fernando Torres scored after 38 seconds and Neymar scored after eight minutes. There were 11 yellow cards, 5 goals, 2 penalties and 2 reds, not that anyone realised: The first of them whipped out and waved in the players' tunnel at halftime. Jordi Alba was felled by a flag. Messi and his coach has been the subject of intense media speculation in recent weeks, with various figures at the club regularly denying reports of tension in their relationship.

Messi and Luis Enrique's relationship has been under plenty of scrutiny in Spain.

Mathieu, 31, who moved to the Camp Nou last summer, revealed the pair had exchanged angry words just after the turn of...

Barcelona achieved a spectacular 3-2 win against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon in the return leg of the Copa Del Rey quarterfinals on Wednesday night. A Neymar brace and an own goal from Los Rojiblancos' Miranda set up the win for the Blaugrana, who enjoyed 70 percent of possession, created 15 goalscoring chances and attempted 12 shots, eight of them on target.

Luis Enrique fielded his preferred eleven against a team who were always going to come out biting in front of their ferocious home...

Barcelona captain Xavi has insisted there was never any crisis at the club as they prepare to go in search of an eighth straight win in their match against Villarreal at the Nou Camp on Sunday night.

Only a few weeks ago Barca's defeat to Real Sociedad was followed by the departure of sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, fevered speculation over the future of Lionel Messi and claims of discord amongst the players and coaching staff.

But seven wins have followed and all of that seems long forgotten...
