Former Home United coach Robert Alberts is looking to build something special at PSM Makassar after signing a four-year contract extension with the Indonesian club.

PSM finished third in the 2017 Indonesia Liga 1 and there was speculation that the Dutchman would leave for Malaysia or Thailand. He has committed himself, however, to the South Sulawesi club until 2021.

Dutch striker Sylvano Comvalius has made the switch from Bali United to Suphanburi FC in the Thai League (T1) after ending the 2017 campaign as Liga 1's top scorer.

Confirmation of the move to Thailand ends Malaysia Super League club Felda United's pursuit of one of Southeast Asia's most sought-after players.

Ex-Stoke winger Peter Odemwingie is continuing his fine form in Indonesia for Madura United.

Dutch master Rafael van der Vaart could be the latest big name to head to Indonesia.

The 34-year-old, who is on the books of Denmark's FC Midtjylland, is being chased by Bali United, according to Indonesian media outlet, Bolasport.

The club has a strong Netherlands connection. Indonesia's Dutch-born international Stefano Lilipaly is reportedly acting as a go-between with the former Real Madrid midfielder, who has yet to appear in Denmark this season.
