FIFA warns Croatia's Danijel Subasic for tribute to dead friend after World Cup win over Denmark

Danijel Subasic became the second goalkeeper to save three penalties in a shootout of a World Cup game as Croatia defeated Denmark to reach the quarters.
The ESPN FC guys believe Russia's "World Cup final" was against Spain and doubt their ability to reproduce a similar performance.
Former Nigeria international Daniel Amokachi explains what it's like to take a penalty in a big moment as he reacts to Croatia's win over Denmark.

Croatia goalkeeper Danijel Subasic was issued a warning by FIFA after his team's World Cup victory over Denmark for revealing a T-shirt with a message honouring a former teammate who died a decade ago from injuries suffered during a match.

Subasic, 33, saved three penalties in Sunday's round-of-16 shootout win in Nizhny Novgorod, and afterward showed the tribute to close friend Hrvoje Custic, who died in 2008 after being injured during a game falling into a concrete wall near the sideline of a field.

That clause was activated in mid-February, and since then, Les Parisiens knew that they would be committing mega-money...

Manchester City's Bernardo Silva would have liked Liverpool's Fabinho at club

French football expert Julien Laurens and the FC panel examine Fabinho's move to Liverpool and how the Reds' midfield will take shape in 2018-19.
Steve Nicol gives his stamp of approval to Liverpool's signing of Fabinho from Monaco, but he isn't sure the midfielder will start right away.
Bacary Sagna thinks Manchester City can match Barcelona if players stay together.
The ESPN FC panel assess the rumours linking Napoli's Jorginho and Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez with moves to Manchester City.

Bernardo Silva would have liked Liverpool's new signing Fabinho to have followed him to Manchester City.

The Brazil midfielder has become Liverpool's first signing of the summer after completing a £44 million switch from Silva's former club Monaco.

Silva, who left the Ligue 1 side last summer, has tipped Fabinho to play at the top level for another 10 years and would choose between him and Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe as his top choice of former teammates to join him at the Etihad...
