Lazar Markovic's potential move to Anderlecht has fallen through, a source has confirmed to ESPN FC.

Liverpool agreed a £2.9 million deal with the Belgian side -- where he spent the second half of last season on loan -- but the player failed to agree personal terms prior to Friday's European transfer deadline.

The winger had been free to leave Liverpool all summer, with his Anfield contract due to expire at the end of the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have continued their summer spending hours before the Premier League transfer deadline by finalising a loan with Anderlecht for midfielder Leander Dendoncker.

Dendoncker, 23, will move to the club next summer on a permanent deal. He is the sixth signing for Wolves and will be available to make his debut in the club's opener against Everton on Saturday.

But all the smart money appeared to be on a switch to Standard Liege, a great rival of Anderlecht, before the latter secured...

Onyekuru, 20, who joined Everton from Eupen last summer and was then sent to Anderlecht, has been sidelined since December after surgery on damaged ligaments.

The Nigeria international, who has nine goals in his 14 top-flight starts for the Brussels club, played 25 minutes for the reserves at the weekend and hopes to feature in Sunday's league...

Man United's Romelu Lukaku wants Anderlecht return later in career

Romelu Lukaku has expressed his desire to rejoin Anderlecht after his time with Manchester United comes to an end.

Lukaku, who joined United from Everton in the summer on a £75 million transfer, visited Anderlecht's training ground earlier this week and said that he would like to return to his boyhood club before his career is over.

"My dream was always to play for Anderlecht," Lukaku said in a video recorded by the Belgian club, which he left for Chelsea in 2011.

"I will definitely return...
