Giacomo Bonaventura moving to AC Milan, Jonathan Biabiany transfer off

AC Milan made a late move for Giacomo Bonaventura, agreeing a seven-million-euro fee with Atalanta for the 25-year-old, after a transfer for Jonathan Biabiany of Parma fell through. Milan said Bonaventura had signed until 2019.

Biabiany's transfer from Parma to AC Milan, which was confirmed earlier in the day, broke down after Cristian Zaccardo refused to move in the opposite direction.

Keisuke Honda got things going with an opening goal for AC Milan in a 3-1 win vs. Lazio on Serie A's opening weekend.

Filippo Inzaghi enjoyed a dream Serie A coaching debut by guiding AC Milan to a 3-1 win against Lazio at the San Siro on Sunday afternoon.

Keisuke Honda put the hosts ahead in the seventh minute before Sulley Muntari doubled Milan's lead before the hour mark. Summer signing Jeremy Menez then made it 3-0 when he earned and converted a penalty in the 64th minute.
