Chinese second division side Shenzhen FC have named Wang Baoshan as their new coach, signalling the end of former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson's tenure at the club.
Chinese media have reported Eriksson, who was appointed at the start of the season after leaving Shanghai SIPG, has been replaced by the club's former coach after announcing Wang's return on their official website on Tuesday evening.
Shenzhen's statement was issued in the form of a poem on their website to welcome Wang back to the club.
It said: "Eleven years ago, you led Shenzhen football and never let us down.
"Nine years ago, you took over responsibilities and saved Shenzhen football.
"Memories of fighting together have never gone away, and now we recall the legend.
"For Shenzhen, we are reunited, starting a new trip together.
"Coach Wang, welcome home."
Shenzhen were Eriksson's third club in Chinese football after initially moving to the country in 2013 to sign a contract with Guangzhou R&F.
After two seasons with the southern Chinese side, the Swedish coach moved to Shanghai SIPG at the start of the 2015 season, taking the club to second position in the standings and qualifying them for the Asian Champions League for the first time in their history.
The following season SIPG finished third in the league with Eriksson in charge and reached the quarterfinals of the continental club championship before the ex-Manchester City boss was replaced by Andre Villas-Boas.
Eriksson was linked with the China national team post that was eventually filled by Marcello Lippi and he was appointed Shenzhen coach last season as a replacement for Clarence Seedorf as the club sought to use his experience to move out of China League One and into the Chinese Super League.
