Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez on Chile 23-man Copa America squad

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez were included in Chile's final 23-man squad for next month's Copa America Centenario in the United States from June 3-26.

The defending champions also included Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Charles Aranguiz, who was sidelined most of the Bundesliga season with a torn Achilles tendon.

Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi opted to leave last year's squad intact, including goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, defender Gary Medel as well as Marcelo Diaz and Vidal and forwards Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas. Those who didn't make the cut were Jorge Valdivia and Hannover defender Miiko Albornoz.

Chile will play in Group D along with Argentina, Panama and Bolivia.

Chile won the 2015 Copa America for the first time in the country's history in a penalty shootout over Argentina.
