N'Golo Kante: Chelsea are aiming to win the Quadruple this season

N'Golo Kante says Chelsea are out to "win everything" this season following last term's Premier League title triumph.

Kante, 26, was signed by Antonio Conte last summer from Leicester, with the midfielder going on to be voted PFA and FWA Player of the Year as Chelsea won the title.

Successfully defending the title has proved difficult in recent seasons, with Manchester United the last team to do so in 2008-09, but the France international is hopeful of repeating the feat while being triumphant in the Champions League and domestic cup competitions too.

"Football is like this: after every game you have to do better in the next and the season is the same," Kante, who won the 2016 Premier League title with Leicester, told Chelsea's official website. "After last season we have to start in the same way and try to do better.

"We are looking to do a better season together and we know at a club like Chelsea a good season means to win titles. So we will try to win some titles. Win, win, win.

"We will fight for everything. We will fight against good teams. So it is going to be difficult. But we will try to win everything we play in."

While Chelsea's 2016-17 season ended with disappointment in losing the FA Cup final to Arsenal, Kante says that should not get in the way of what was a memorable campaign.

"We cannot say it was a bad season, he said. "We know it could have been better with a Double. But it was, for us, a good season. Not the best. It could have been better. But it was a good season.

"Arsenal played well, better than us and they deserved the victory. They deserved to win this game."

While Kante wants Chelsea to improve on last season's success, he is also hoping to enhance his own game.

"I can always improve," he said. "Maybe score more goals and more assists, always help the team the best I can. Sometimes I can help the team to score, to make the last pass or to get more chances and try to score. Maybe I can do this more often."
