Chelsea defender David Luiz said he was pleased with his side's calmness after they scored a late goal to win 2-1 at Stoke on Saturday.
The Premier League leaders had seen an early Willian free kick cancelled out by a Jonathan Walters penalty before half-time.
But Gary Cahill pounced on a loose ball to fire home with three minutes remaining, and Luiz told Chelsea's official website that the Londoners had come through a difficult test.
"It was a typical Premier League game," he said. "We're happy with the victory, but it's still a long way to win the title.
"Nobody makes it easy -- it is always difficult to play here. They are a strong and physical team.
"We are happy with the game. We played a good game, kept calm and had the opportunity to score the second goal. We had to believe. It was so difficult, but we did it and we are happy."
Luiz has excelled since returning to Stamford Bridge from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and said: "I try to improve every day. This is my goal.
"As a defender they don't talk about the good things you do, they talk about the mistakes, so I am trying to play the best football I can to help my team."
