Werder Bremen have announced they will face Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on Aug. 7.
The German club called off their scheduled game against Lazio due to concerns over crowd violence and they promised to find another illustrious opponent to take their place at the Weserstadion.
In a statement on their official website, they have now revealed that Antonio Conte's Blues will be the new visitors.
"We're delighted to have been able to find such attractive opponents at such short notice for our official season opening,'' said Bremen's chairman Klaus Filbry. "I would like to thank Lazio for the way they showed full understanding of our decision to call off that game.''
