John Terry misses Chelsea training ahead of second leg vs. PSG

John Terry did not train with the rest of the Chelsea squad ahead of Wednesday's Champions League round-of-16 second-leg clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

Diego Costa, Pedro Rodriguez and Kenedy all participated fully in the Blues' open training session at Cobham on Tuesday and showed no lingering effects of recent injuries, but Terry instead did individual fitness work away from his teammates and the assembled media.

Terry has missed Chelsea's last five matches in all competitions since limping from the field with a hamstring injury during last month's 5-1 win over Newcastle at Stamford Bridge, and on Saturday interim manager Guus Hiddink confirmed that he did not think his captain would recover in time to face PSG.

Chelsea striker Costa was also sidelined for Saturday's 1-1 draw with Stoke City at Stamford Bridge due to a "minor tendon injury", with Hiddink afterwards insisting his centre-forward's absence was simply a precaution to ensure his availability for Wednesday's match.

Radamel Falcao also joined the Chelsea squad for training ahead of the PSG clash as he steps up his recovery from a "very serious" thigh injury sustained at the turn of the year, despite the fact that he is not registered in the Blues' Champions League squad.

Chelsea are looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit from last month's first leg at Parc des Princes last month, as well as gaining revenge for PSG knocking them out of the Champions League at this stage of the competition last season.
