Willian expects John Terry to leave Chelsea at the end of the season as the club captain's public contract stand-off rumbles on.
Terry, 35, told reporters after last month's 5-1 victory over MK Dons in the FA Cup fourth round that he was resigned to ending his 18-year professional career at Stamford Bridge this summer after being informed that Chelsea had declined to offer him a contract extension.
Chelsea insist that "channels of dialogue" will remain open with Terry over his future, but after Sunday's 1-1 draw with Manchester United the veteran defender revealed there has been no further contact between the two parties in a bid to resolve the situation.
"He is definitely one of the greatest or maybe the greatest player of Chelsea's history," Willian told Squawka. "He's won everything for this club. He is respected by all of us.
"I'm thankful for having the opportunity to play beside him. I've learnt a lot from John Terry. I think he would like to stay longer with us, but unfortunately it seems he won't be able to remain as a Chelsea player.
"The club won't probably extend his contract, so I can just wish him the best of luck for the rest of his career."
Terry is the most successful captain in Chelsea's history, winning 14 major trophies in 18 years as a professional at Stamford Bridge, and will be honoured for his "outstanding contribution" at the London Football Awards next month.
