Chelsea's Falcao out for 'few weeks,' Ivanovic, Pedro resume training

Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao will be out for "a few weeks" with a muscular injury, manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed, but Branislav Ivanovic and Pedro Rodriguez have returned to training ahead of Wednesday's Champions League match against Dynamo Kiev.

Colombia striker Falcao has struggled since making his loan move to Stamford Bridge from Monaco in the summer, scoring just one goal in 10 appearances.

The 29-year-old will not be able to add to that tally until at least after the upcoming international break due to, what Mourinho described in a news conference, as "an important muscular injury."

In better news for Mourinho -- who was hit with a one-match stadium ban and fined £40,000 by the Football Association on Monday after admitting a charge of misconduct -- Ivanovic and Pedro both returned to Chelsea training on Tuesday.

Ivanovic has not played for the Blues since Oct. 3 after picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty with Serbia, while Pedro has been sidelined for the last four games.

Both players took part in team training, with Thibaut Courtois, out with a knee injury, the only absentee.

Chelsea currently sit third in Group G following last month's 0-0 draw against Dynamo, who are one point above them in second place.
