Radamel Falcao: No pressure to score goals for Chelsea while on Monaco loan

Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao has said he does not feel under pressure to score goals for his new club

Falcao, 29, joined Chelsea on loan from Monaco this summer after Manchester United opted against prolonging his stay at Old Trafford.

The Colombia international, having recovered from a serious knee injury, struggled for form during his time at United, scoring four Premier League goals in 26 appearances.

He said in The Sun: "I feel very well, free and with a lot of confidence. I don't feel pressure to score.

"Strikers always want to score goals, clearly, but I'm calm. The goals will come and we have great strikers in this team.

"Diego Costa and Loic Remy are excellent finishers. We hope to have healthy competition and, after that, the coach will decide.

"The more games we play the more the team will grow and we will be ready to fight this season."

Chelsea begin the defence of their Premier League title against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
