Chelsea striker Loic Remy wants to play more and score more

Loic Remy is targeting a more significant role at Chelsea team as they look to defend their Premier League title this season.

Remy, 28, signed from Queens Park Rangers last summer but found consistent playing time hard to come by, with Diego Costa preferred by manager Jose Mourinho as the side's lone striker.

The France international made six top-flight starts during the campaign and in 2015-16 he faces increased competition following the addition of Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco this summer.

Remy, who scored seven Premier League goals in 2014-15, told Sky Sports News HQ: "I want to bring everything I can to the team and I just want to do more as I think this season will be more difficult than the previous one.

"So, all the players must be better than last season and I just want to be better, play more and score more."
