A report on the Celtic website read: "The diminutive playmaker didn't look out of place and played his part in the closing stages."
The schoolboy's skill and talent had previously been flagged up to a wider audience in a series of online video clips.
He was named the player of the tournament at the St Kevin's Boys club competition in Dublin when playing for Celtic's under-15s team against West Bromwich Albion, Deportivo La Coruna and Barcelona,
Celtic's under-13s also won the Bassevelde Cup in Belgium earlier in the summer, beating Borussia Dortmund in the final, and Dembele player of the tournament then too.
Usually he is a regular in Celtic's under-14s and under-15s.
