Burnley manager Sam Dyche accused Daniel Sturridge of diving in Liverpool's 3-1 win on Wednesday night, while also brushing off Reds boss Jurgen Klopp's criticisms of excessive tackling. Dyche said the Klopp didn't mention one particular issue when the managers seemingly exchanged some heated words following the match. "It's funny, he didn't reference Daniel Sturridge's cheating," Dyche said a news conference on Thursday. "He never got touched, nothing near him, and actually got a free kick." Klopp was unhappy with some of Burnley's slide tackles in Liverpool's victory at Turf Moor, one which resulted in Joe Gomez suffering a fracture to his lower left leg that will sideline him for around six weeks. Dyche dismissed Jurgen's complaints, saying his squad was simply playing a tough, physical match. "I watched Liverpool as a kid and was a Liverpool fan growing up and they had a fantastic side of skill, will, demand and a physical edge. "If that has gone, or the suggestion is you're not allowed to make those tackles that our lads made last night, and it's been replaced by cheating, I absolutely am happy to be old-fashioned. "I just can't believe Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans -- and I don't believe they do -- would want cheating in the game and sacrifice good, honest challenges."
