Burnley hand Dean Marney, Stephen Ward, Kevin Long new deals

Burnley have announced that Dean Marney, Stephen Ward and Kevin Long have all signed new deals with the club.

The trio were due to be out of contract next summer, but the Clarets have handed them all one-year extensions.

Marney and Long are the two longest-serving players in Burnley's first-team squad, having joined in 2010, while Ward has been with the club since 2014.

Marney, a signing from Hull City, has made over 200 appearances since arriving at the club.

Long, who joined from Cork City, has made 27 Burnley appearances, having also spent time out on loan with Accrington Stanley, Rochdale, Portsmouth, Barnsley and MK Dons.

Ward has made 42 appearances for the Clarets since arriving from Wolves, while he became the first Burnley player in the summer to represent their country at a European Championship while with Republic of Ireland.
