Brentford have confirmed that manager Mark Warburton, his assistant David Weir and sporting director Frank McParland will leave Griffin Park at the end of this season.

The west London club, just outside the Championship playoff places, could yet end the campaign in the Premier League -- but Warburton will not stay.

The development, confirmed in a statement on the Bees' official website, comes a week after speculation about Warburton's future first surfaced.

According to the statement, Brentford's hierarchy have decided to implement a new structure at the club and Warburton felt "unable to work under the changed structure."

He was appointed last season, guiding Brentford to promotion as League One champions and maintaining their momentum in the Championship. He has won 33 of his 61 games in charge so far.

The statement said: "The board, with Matthew's approval, has made the decision that the trio [Warburton, Weir and McParland] will leave Brentford at the end of the 2014-15 season.

"Mark and David will continue to work with the first team on a day-to-day basis through to the end of the season."

Warburton said: "It has been an absolute honour and a privilege to do the job. While I am disappointed that we have been unable to reconcile some key philosophical differences, I'm relieved we now have clarity.

"In my remaining time at the club, we shall move heaven and earth to get promotion."
