Fans of the Brazilian national team expect to see a show every time the Selecao take the pitch, says goalkeeper Alisson.
Speaking ahead of the five-time world champs' World Cup qualifier against Peru, the Internacional No. 1 revealed demanding Brazilian supporters not only expect the team to win each game, but to entertain in the process.
"Fans always expect a show from Brazil when they enter the pitch. They always expect positive football," the 23-year-old said on Sunday.
"Of course, the level of South American football nowadays is extremely balanced but I grew up watching a magical team play football. So I believe fans expect that from us.
"We have a very talented group of players and we will give our very best to overcome expectations."
Brazil have taken four points from three qualifiers this campaign, including a valuable point in a 1-1 draw with rivals Argentina in Buenos Aires.
On Tuesday, they host Peru, who finished third in the 2015 Copa America, in Salvador.
"We believe it will be a tough game against Peru. It certainly won't be easy," Alisson said.
"We have home field advantage but we know it will be our job to make this game easier for us by the way we play and how we present ourselves on the pitch."
While the weight of Brazil's past glories can sometimes be a burden on new incarnations of the Canarinho, Alisson was quick to point out the country's glittering past is recognized by the opponent as well.
"Each game has its own history. But when we look to the crest that is here on this shirt, we see a very strong crest, with five stars on it. Our opponent sees that as well," he continued.
"We know we will be playing with this responsibility of winning all the time, no matter whether we're playing at home or abroad."
