Raphael Guerreiro returns to Dortmund training, Marco Reus on way back

Raphael Guerreiro resumed Borussia Dortmund team training on Monday, with Marco Reus, Andre Schurrle, Roman Burki and Lukasz Piszczek all training individually.

Guerreiro, 24, has made just 13 appearances this season because of injuries, and earlier this year managed only 27 minutes at Cologne before suffering muscular problems.

After the left-back resumed full training, head coach Peter Stoger told reporters he would need patience before returning to the matchday squad.

"He's now back this week, but it will take a bit time," Stoger said. "Usually, the lads come back in a very good physical shape, so you can play can them again soon."

Dortmund face RB Salzburg in the Europa League on Thursday, and Schurrle, Reus, Burki and Pisczek could all be back in team training on Tuesday.

Reus has been Dortmund's standout player since returning from injury, while right-back Piszczek has now gone undefeated in the Bundesliga for more than 460 days.

Since playing in a 2-1 loss at Frankfurt in November 2016, the Poland international has made 30 league appearances for the Black and Yellows, recording 19 wins and 11 draws.

Dortmund host Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
