Attack on Dortmund bus 'glue' that has brought the team together - Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel has praised the spirit of his Borussia Dortmund squad in the wake of April 11's attack on their team bus.

A 28-year-old man was arrested early on Friday in connection to the trio of bombs that left Marc Bartra and a policeman injured.

Despite trying circumstances, Tuchel's side has continued on with their football, being knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco during the week before rallying to a crucial 3-2 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

Tuchel admitted that he's been immensely satisfied to see how his team has stuck by each other through such adversity.

"It turns out that the players are very open, they also dare to show their feelings and talk about [the bus attack]," Tuchel said following Saturday's win.

"This is not usual, not normally. But this is a glue for us that we would not have otherwise.

"I am very satisfied that we are now in third place. And I am very satisfied with how we did it.

"We have earned the win, played a great away game. Through the course of the game, we have completely put ourselves in trouble.

"Afterwards, however, to show such a reaction and to dominate so much is great. The team deserves a compliment."

Dortmund's attention will now turn to Wednesday's DFB-Pokal semifinal against rivals Bayern Munich.
