Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: I want to achieve a lot at Borussia Dortmund

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has told Sport Bild he wants to remain at Borussia Dortmund "for a long time" and believes they are capable of beating Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title this season.

Aubameyang, who scored 39 goals across all competitions for Dortmund last season, was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City earlier this summer but said this week that he would only leave BVB if Real Madrid made an approach.

The 27-year-old Gabon international has now said he hopes to remain at the Westfalenstadion long-term and that he is excited about the chance to win silverware alongside summer signings Mario Gotze and Andre Schurrle.

"I'm not done here yet," Aubameyang, who is under contract until 2020, said. "I want to stay with BVB for a long time. I still want to achieve a lot with Dortmund and I'm not interested in changing clubs."

Aubameyang has not won a major trophy since his arrival at Dortmund in 2013 and he added: "I want to win titles with Gotze and Schurrle this season. We know how difficult it will be. However, we don't want to dismiss our ambitions. At least one trophy must be the aim."

Dortmund finished runners-up to Bayern in the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal last season and Aubameyang said they are now capable of finishing ahead of their rivals.

"We have the potential to beat FC Bayern this season and want to cause them problems this season," he said.

Dortmund have seen Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gundogan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan exit ahead of the new campaign and have brought in mostly young players, but Aubameyang said: "I find that we have more potential [than last season].

"We added many young players -- they are all very talented. It's the right path to win titles in the future again."

Aubameyang will miss Dortmund's International Champions Cup match against Manchester City on Thursday after leaving the China tour to join his partner, who is due to give birth to the couple's second child.
