Borussia Dortmund have ruled star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out of Wednesday's DFB-Pokal semifinal with a toe injury.
The Bundesliga club said an scan revealed a chipped bone in Aubameyang's toe that will prevent him from playing at Hertha Berlin.
Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel said earlier in the day that the injury has been "causing him problems for weeks," but that it finally forced him out of training on Monday.

Tuchel had initially said he expected Aubameyang to be able to play before the scan showed the extent of the injury.
Aubameyang has 37 goals in all competitions this season, though he only played the final 15 minutes of Sunday's 3-0 win at Hamburg, when Dortmund got two goals from Adrian Ramos and one from 17-year-old Christian Pulisic.
