Bordeaux star Malcom takes diving ban appeal to Olympic committee

Malcom will take his appeal against a two-game ban for diving to France's Olympic Committee (CNOSF) in an attempt to be able to play for Bordeaux against Monaco on Friday.

The 21-year-old forward, linked with Arsenal and Tottenham last month, was given a one-game ban with a further match suspended for the dive that earned his team a penalty during a 3-1 win over Lyon on Jan. 28.

Bordeaux appealed to the French Football Federation (FFF) but saw the ban increased to two matches, meaning their leading scorer sat out last weekend's draw with Nice and is set to miss the trip to Monaco.

The appointment of an arbiter on Monday suspends the FFF's decision, meaning that either the CNOSF will make a ruling before the game or its decision comes afterwards, meaning he will be able to feature.

The CNOSF cannot, however, add to the punishment that was given to the former Corinthians player.
