Boca Juniors' La Bombonera stadium and its vicinity was briefly evacuated on Sunday lunchtime due to a bomb scare.
Later confirmed as a false alarm, Argentine newspaper Ole had earlier reported all activities at the stadium and at the Boca Juniors complex had been cancelled.
Police squads with dogs were seen making checks, firefighters arrived and bomb experts were called to La Bombonera before it was confirmed that there was no threat.
Boca Juniors' women's team were due to play River Plate women at 3 p.m. local time on Sunday at the Pedro Pompilio complex, adjacent to the stadium, which went ahead after police gave the all-clear.
Meanwhile, another bomb alert hit soccer on Sunday with around 12,500 people evacuated in a top division game in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Hosts Saprissa were winning 6-1 against Grecia, but with five minutes remaining, the referee stopped the game after an anonymous phone call was received.
While it was the first time a bomb threat had been received in a stadium in Costa Rica, which authorities later confirmed was false after inspecting the area, La Bombonera has been a target in the past.
On Jan. 6, people at the stadium and those at Boca's sporting complex were moved to a safe place after police received a call from a male claiming he had placed bombs at the venue.
