Pogba to follow Hazard to the Bernabeu as Bale makes Madrid sweat
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has identified Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba as his main transfer target, and is pressing ahead with efforts to sign his compatriot this summer, according to reports in The Mirror.
Pogba has been earmarked by Zidane as the man to build his new-look Real side around, and with the Spanish giants confident that a deal for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is as good as done, their focus has now turned to the unsettled United midfielder.
Those deals place the future of Madrid winger Gareth Bale into further doubt, but the Welshman is reportedly happy to sit on his astronomical deal at the Bernabeu instead of taking a pay cut by moving elsewhere.
Interest in 29-year-old Bale is widespread, but most of the clubs keen to secure a deal would have to break their wage structures if they were to accommodate for his £500,000-a-week wages.
22.54 BST: That's going to bring Sunday's live edition of Transfer Talk to a close. Be sure to check back in a few short hours when we return with the latest gossip pulled from Monday's back pages.
21.47 BST: Thiago Almada is a 17-year-old Argentine who's already been called "the next Messi," and the Sun reports that Manchester City are ready to snap up the Velez Sarsfield attacker in a £20m deal.
20.10 BST: Reece James has had such an impressive loan stint at Wigan this season, he's poised to join the Chelsea first-team setup next season. And others have taken notice, with Metro citing the Sun as reporting that the West London club have rejected a £10m bid from Brighton & Hove Albion for the 19-year-old, and Crystal Palace also reportedly keen on bringing in the full-back.
18.33 BST: While Thorgan Hazard has been pushing for a move from Borussia Monchengladbach to Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool have been credited with interest in the 26-year-old for months now, the Sun reports that Arsenal have joined the queue and hope to bring the Chelsea academy graduate -- and Eden's little brother -- back to London.
16.56 BST: AS reports that Paul Pogba's wages could prove to be a stumbling block to any move to Real Madrid. The 26-year-old reportedly earns €17m a season before taxes, which would eclipse Gareth Bale as Los Blancos' highest earner by €2m a year.
15.19 BST: Paris Saint-Germain are ready to bid £65m for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to The Express.
Tottenham and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in the Ivory Coast international, but would be unlikely to match the Ligue 1 side's offer.
14.21 BST: Juventus director Fabio Paratici has refused to speculate on reported transfer target Federico Chiesa. Kind of.
In the most diplomatic way, when asked his thoughts on the highly-rated Fiorentina winger, Paratici said: "He is objectively good. I didn't need to see his qualities here."
Chiesa impressed, twice hitting the woodwork in Fiorentina's 2-1 defeat which saw Juve confirmed as Serie A winners.
13.27 BST: Lyon forward Nabil Fekir has split from his agent, with The Mirror reporting the reason behind the decision is because the France international is looking for a transfer this season.
Fekir had come close to joining Liverpool last summer, but the move fell through -- and he will not be short of suitors should he decide to leave.
12.32 BST: Sticking with The Sun and they have a report which claims the owner of League One Sunderland has turned down a £70 million offer from a mystery Malaysian businessman.
Stewart Donald is believed to open to selling the promotion-chasing club.

11.02 BST: Marseille's Florian Thauvin in on the move, say Telefoot. The winger, 26, is wanted by clubs in Italy.
10.49 BST: Matteo Kovacic has had a low-key loan spell at Chelsea this season and the Real Madrid midfielder doesn't appear to have a future at the Bernabeu. He could be moved on but Cadena Ser believe Madrid do not want to sell him to their neighbours Atletico Madrid.
10.30 BST: Burnley's rising star Dwight McNeil is attracting interest from fellow Premier League clubs but boss Sean Dyche thinks the valuations put on him elsewhere are wide of the mark.
"It's a strange one, regarding his worth; I look at some of the figures bandied about for some of these young players and I don't know what you put on him," Dyche said.
09.31 BST: Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho has also been linked with a move in the summer but coach Ernesto Valverde insists he will stay put. Coutinho was jeered by some of his own fans during Barcelona's 2-1 win over Real Sociedad but Valverde said after: "It has been given a lot of attention because it is Barcelona and with Barcelona sometimes things that are not important are given too much focus.
"The fans are with Coutinho and Coutinho is with them."
09.26 BST: Paulo Dybala's Juventus future has been the subject of much speculation but Juventus director of sport Fabio Paratici says the striker is going nowhere.

Premier League giants keen on Hakim
Ajax playmaker Hakim Ziyech has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with The Mirror reporting the Morocco international is a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, as well as the two Manchester clubs.
Ziyech is one of many Ajax stars that have made a big impression during the Dutch side's exploits in the Champions League this season, and his 19 goals and 20 assists in all competitions have put Europe's elite on red alert.
Manchester City see the 26-year-old as a potential replacement for Ilkay Gundogan, with the German's contract talks at the club stalling, while United are keen to make Ziyech part of their summer revamp.
And the price certainly won't be putting off any potential suitors, with the Amsterdam club demanding a very modest £25 million for their main creative hub.
Summer switch for Lille star?
The agent of Lille winger Nicolas Pepe has announced that talks regarding a summer transfer have begun. But agent Samir Khiat has said that there are no clear frontrunners for his client's signature, despite mentioning Bayern Munich in the same breath.
"Today, there are no favourites, be it Bayern Munich or another club. We have not decided on which league," he said.
- Manchester United defender Antonio Valencia appears to have said his goodbyes to fans on social media. The Ecuador international, who has been linked with a reunion with former United colleague Wayne Rooney at DC United, took to Instagram to post an image of the Sir Alex Ferguson stand at Old Trafford, with the caption "Thank You."
- The Express claims Leeds United will target Liverpool pair Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent if they win promotion to the Premier League. Welsh international Wilson has earned rave reviews at Championship side Derby, while Kent has impressed while on loan at Steven Gerrard's Rangers this season.
