Transfer Rater: Anthony Martial to Inter Milan, Chris Wood to Besiktas

Rumours
The latest transfer rumours from around the world.

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers for the summer. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Gaston Ramirez to Sampdoria

On the back of Middlesbrough's relegation to the Championship it looks like Gaston Ramirez will be on the move, with Italian side Sampdoria reported to be interested. The Uruguayan scored two goals and provided three assists in Boro's solo campaign back in the top flight. Ramirez, who previously had spells with Southampton and Hull City, began his career at Inter Milan and is reported to be interested in a return to Italy. But Real Betis are also interested.

Jota to West Ham United

Despite Dean Smith's determination to keep Jota, a move for the Spaniard may be out of his hands should a Premier League club come calling. Despite interest from Everton and Newcastle United, Slaven Bilic's men are now favourites to sign the 26-year-old. Jota scored 12 goals for Brentford last season despite spending the first half of the season on loan at Eibar and is priced at around £8 million.

Ross McCormack to Sunderland

McCormack took a real step back at Aston Villa last season, scoring just three times before an unsuccessful loan move at Nottingham Forest. This came following successful spells at Leeds United and Fulham and it now looks like the 30-year-old could try to reignite his career at recently-relegated Sunderland. According to the Sunderland Echo his former boss Simon Grayson wants to give the striker a lifeline, but negotiations have been stalled due to his high wage demands.

Anthony Martial to Inter Milan

After an underwhelming season at Manchester United, The Sun are reporting that Anthony Martial has agreed to be used as part of the deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic. The Red Devils are keen to sign the Croatia international but have been struggling to agree terms with the Nerazzurri. Italian outlet Calciomercato claim the 21-year-old wants the move to the San Siro after growing unhappy at Jose Mourinho's public criticism of him.

Chris Wood to Besiktas

New Zealand striker Chris Wood was the top goal scorer in the Championship last season and now, according to The Express, has caught the eye of Turkish champions Besiktas. Leeds United reportedly value the 25-year-old striker at £20m, which may price out Premier League trio, Swansea City, Stoke City and Southampton. The Kiwi has played for no fewer than nine English clubs, including current top flight sides Leicester City and Brighton and Hove Albion, but could be set to move to Europe.
