Premier League title challenge would tempt Ibrahimovic to stay at Man Utd

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice in a straightforward win against Southampton.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored 26 goals since joining Man United for free in the summer.

The football world's gossip mill is in full swing, and Transfer Talk is already monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals here.

TOP STORY: Ibra 'poised to agree United stay'

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho may have said he hasn't got news about whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay at Old Trafford, but the Manchester Evening News does -- and it reports that he will.

Former Sweden captain Ibrahimovic joined United on a one-year deal in the summer and has scored 26 goals so far.

There is the option for another year to be added, but doubts about whether that will be triggered have been expressed amid reported interest from clubs in both the United States and the Chinese Super League.

But the Manchester Evening News, citing reports in Sweden, says Ibrahimovic "is ready to sign" and adds that he "is believed to have met with agent Mino Raiola in Manchester to finalise the details."

Meanwhile, the Sun says Ibrahimovic has decided to stay because he wants to win the Premier League.

It says "he feels he has the opportunity to do that at United, with Mourinho ready to embark on another summer of squad strengthening."

Barcelona in new Coutinho link

The end of a Barcelona era will be coming along soon, with Andres Iniesta out of contract next year and having indicated that he does not intend to stay.

The Mirror says officials are planning for life without him and have identified the two key options on a list of targets.

Who might they be? Step forward Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho and Paris Saint-Germain's Marco Verratti.

The Mirror says Coutinho "has been placed top of the list after his standout performances this season."

But it adds that Italy international Verratti "is also a high priority," while former Barca academy player Thiago Alcantara is linked with a return from Bayern Munich.

Mbappe plays down Premier League talk

Monaco's Kylian Mbappe is attracting attention from some of the Premier League's biggest clubs. Here's what he has to say about the transfer speculation:

Koeman faces challenge to land Swans star

Everton manager Ronald Koeman was keen to sign Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson last summer and will target him again this year, the Liverpool Echo reports.

But it says Koeman will find it tough to get his man if Swansea succeed in securing Premier League safety.

Koeman and Everton saw a £28 million bid for Iceland international Sigurdsson turned down before the start of the season, but the Echo says the player "remains on their wish list."

It warns that "if the Swans survive, it is understood it would be far from easy to tempt him away" because he has enjoyed working with manager Paul Clement and "would need convincing about leaving."

Koeman has also been reported to be sizing up potential moves for both Manchester United's Wayne Rooney and Burnley defender Michael Keane.

Tap-ins

- Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Everton midfielder Ross Barkley and Isco of Real Madrid, and now another midfield name has entered the fray.

The Mirror reports that Spurs "have AC Milan attacking midfielder Suso among their summer transfer options."

The former Liverpool player has scored seven goals in a productive campaign for Milan, having been a regular starter this season.

- Mali international Moussa Marega is interesting Tottenham and Liverpool, according to the Sun.

The Porto player, on loan at Vitoria Guimaraes, is on a run of 12 goals in 21 games and that form has "alerted Premier League scouts."

Any buyer would have to pay £35m to trigger the release clause in his contract, which runs until 2020.
