Real Madrid set for €80m Mbappe bid; Barca eye Flamengo striker Vinicius Jr.

The football world's gossip mill is in full swing, and Transfer Talk is already monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals here.

TOP STORY: Madrid set for €80m Mbappe bid

Zinedine Zidane is pushing for Real Madrid to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco after Los Blancos missed out on signing the exciting forward three years ago, with talk of an €80 million deal being arranged, according to AS.

The Spanish daily reckons that Mbappe, 18, who has just earned his first call-up to the France national team, was recommended to Real by Zidane in 2014 and even visited the Valdebebas training centre and met Cristiano Ronaldo before signing for Monaco instead.

Mbappe has made a massive impression this season, scoring 10 goals in 21 Ligue 1 appearances and finding the back of the net home and away against Manchester City in the Champions League, leading to the reigning European champions setting their sights on signing him.

Barca eye Flamengo forward Vinicius

Staying in La Liga, Barcelona have enlisted the services of Andre Cury to help them land Flamengo forward Vinicius Junior ahead of Real Madrid, according to Marca

The report claims that Cury is the man who convinced Neymar to move to Barca in 2013 and, as such, the Catalan club have great faith in his ability to convince 16-year-old Vinicius to follow suit.

Brazil daily Globoesporte on Monday reported that the player passed a medical in Rio de Janeiro that was mandated by Flamengo, but the results of which will also be sent along to Real Madrid.

It is said Flamengo want to tie the player, who has a €30m release clause, to a longer contract and a larger buyout fee in light of interest from Barca and Real. Although it could come down to who is willing to cut the biggest cheque, the Blaugrana hope that having Cury involved will give them the edge.

Barcelona are keen on signing Flamengo starlet Vinicius Junior, who at age 16 has a whopping €30 million release clause.

Son in Sevilla's, Inter's sights

Sevilla and Inter Milan will offer Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min the opportunity to play regular football this summer, the London Evening Standard reports

Son has scored 14 goals for Spurs in all competitions this season, but he has played second fiddle to Harry Kane in central attack or been deployed on the flanks. The Standard reckons that uncertainty around his place in Mauricio Pochettino's XI will encourage other European sides to make a move for the 24-year-old South Korea international.

Barca back off Bellerin

Next up, some rare good news for Arsenal fans in troubled times: Barcelona are leaning toward a summer move for Valencia right-back Joao Cancelo, Marca claims, with Hector Bellerin considered too expensive.

Cancelo, with a reported release clause of €30m, represents far better value for Barca than the potential €50-60m transfer fee that Bellerin could command. In addition, it is said that there are doubts about bringing the Arsenal man back to the club where he began his youth career and the Premier League side are keen to keep a player they consider a future captain.

- Manchester United have added to their global scouting network by employing Paulo Henrique Xavier, who worked as chief scout for the Brazilian FA until February, according to the Daily Mirror. The recruitment is said to be part of a plan by Jose Mourinho to make the Manchester team competitive for the best talent in South America.

- Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could be given the chance to rescue his career with Napoli, Calcio Mercato reports. The 30-year-old Belgium international has had a rough season and started only five games for City, but Napoli are looking to strengthen their defensive options and will enquire about Kompany's availability in the summer.
