15:20 BST The Daily Star says Everton boss Roberto Martinez has identified Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca as the man to spearhead his side's top four charge next season -- but only if the club fail to re-sign Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker's future remains unclear at Chelsea and it is believed that Everton would have to splash nearly 20 million pounds on Lukaku, thereby spending their entire budget.

14:36 BST Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has quashed speculation linking him with a move to Atletico Madrid, insisting that he is determined to stay and fight for his place.
Rumours surfaced in the English press earlier this week that Negredo may be sacrificed to make way for the arrival of Eliaquim Mangala as a result of Manchester City's breach of Financial Fair Play regulations -- but Negredo insists that he is "very happy and settled" at the champions.
"I don't want to leave City, I'm very happy and settled here," he is quoted as saying in The Guardian. "I had a difficult end to the season and that's why there's been a lot of talking. But I've been very happy from the first day I arrived."

13:40 BST Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas is set to join Real Madrid after the European champions agreed to meet the release clause in his contract. The signing of Navas -- who excelled at the World Cup, conceding only twice as his side reached their first-ever quarterfinal -- would mean strong competition for Iker Casillas and Diego Lopez.
However, the latter could be set for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu with Napoli and Monaco potential suitors. Read the full story here.

28.5m plus Romagnoli for Iturbe. I like him. But at that price? 5m for Ferreira Carrasco a better value option- James Horncastle (@JamesHorncastle) July 16, 2014
13:00 BST Reports in Italy suggest that Fiorentina will look to replace Juan Cuadrado with Hector Herrera should the Colombia international leave. Should Cuadrado leave, Viola boss Vincenzo Montella is expected to fill his void with Mexico midfielder Herrera who is valued at around 15-20 million euros by Porto.

Other reports in Italy suggest that Inzaghi is more intent on strengthening Milan's attack, with Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura at the top of his list.
11:23 BST L'Equipe says that Cameroon international midfielder Landry N'Guemo has agreed to join Standard Liege. The 28-year-old is expected to join the Jupiler League runners-up on a free transfer after his contract expired at Bordeaux.

10:35 BST Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho hopes to deal Arsenal a huge blow in the transfer market after the Blues joined the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira. ABC says that Mourinho has personally contacted the World Cup winner to speak to him about his future.
Mourinho has a close relationship with Khedira, having signed him for Los Blancos in 2010 from Stuttgart and it now appears to be a battle of persuasion as Arsenal's German World Cup stars attempt to convince Khedira to pick the Emirates over Stamford Bridge. This could get ugly.
10:26 BST Atletico Madrid have identified Napoli forward Jose Callejon as the perfect candidate to support new signing Mario Mandzukic up front next season. Marca says Diego Simeone is keen to recruit a wide forward -- after the sales of David Villa, Adrian and Diego Costa -- and that Callejon fits the bill.
Callejon is reportedly open to a return to the Spanish capital where he is determined to win trophies but Napoli are reluctant to sell the 27-year-old and would demand a figure much higher than the initial 20 million euros that the Spanish champions are prepared to offer.
10:15 BST Rio Ferdinand is edging closer to signing for Queens Park Rangers. The 35-year-old centre-back, who was released by Manchester United earlier in the summer, is reportedly keen to move back to London and reunite with Hoops manager Harry Redknapp who coached him as a teenager at West Ham.

James out, Griezmann in?
The biggest bubbling deal of Tuesday involved James Rodriguez, whose World Cup exploits don't really need too much introduction. AS, the international sports site, is convinced that an agreement is in place between Real Madrid and James, with current club Monaco resigned to his departure. Not that they're going to go quietly -- they've got a replacement lined up, and it's a pretty handy one. Antoine Griezmann, the French winger who had an outstanding season with Real Sociedad and a good first World Cup, too, is the man in their sights -- and, if both deals go through, Monaco would still make a hefty profit.
Cry me a Riviere
It seems that there could be another exit from Monaco imminently: recent reports strongly linking Newcastle with their striker, Emmanuel Riviere, have been stood up by our very own Julien Laurens, although he isn't entirely convinced about the fee.
Juve don't have better things to do?
Juventus have been as bright and breezy as ever in this transfer window, but Tuesday's news that manager Antonio Conte has left the club might be expected to slow things down instead. Not necessarily: Tuttosport has been keeping a close eye on the situation of Verona's excellent 21-year-old Argentine forward, Juan Iturbe, who has returned to Italy while the two clubs negotiate for his signature. Arriving in Rome at 5:30 p.m. local time, he left the airport "wearing a T-shirt with the image of Muhammad Ali." The level of sartorial analysis embedded in Italian transfer stories remains a thing of wonder.
Fueling the fire?
In fact, could Conte's departure spark a Benny Hill-style transfer chase among some of the Premier League's finest? The Daily Star sagely points out that it might not do the causes of clubs soliciting Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba too much harm -- with Manchester United and Chelsea, respectively, bound to have pricked their ears up at the newfound instability in Turin.
Chelsea slow off the Mark
Lazar Markovic looked content enough when posing with a Liverpool shirt for the first time on Tuesday, but could -- should? -- the 20-million-pound Serb have ended up at Stamford Bridge instead? The Telegraph notes that Chelsea, amid a complicated ownership situation that the article outlines, opted out of an arrangement to sign him that was made when he joined Benfica from Partizan Belgrade last summer. Markovic was even, apparently, shown around Chelsea's facilities last year. He might have one or two points to prove when Liverpool and Chelsea lock horns at Anfield on Nov. 8.
News of a possible Serbian exit from the Premier League, now. The Sun says that Manchester City will look to move on defender Matija Nastasic once the long-awaited transfer of Porto centre-back Eliaquim Mangala is sealed. It seems a bit of a surprise, as Nastasic is still just 21 and experienced well beyond his years, but a return to Serie A appears in the cards for a player originally signed by former City boss Roberto Mancini.
Meanwhile, here's a club that could do with some transfer rumours -- any transfer rumours. Championship side Blackpool have only eight players currently on their books, the Blackpool Gazette points out, and rumours on Tuesday evening suggested that this figure might now be down to six. Either way, manager Jose Riga might have to lower his sights to five-a-side football with the season's big kickoff just three and a half weeks away.
