FC Dallas fact-check Ibrahimovic in political campaign-style ad

Alejandro Moreno's MLS awards are back for week 1 and big names like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Michael Bradley didn't disappoint.
Alejandro Moreno explains why Sporting Kansas City are best suited to become the first MLS club to win the CONCACAF Champions League.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is always good for a headline-worthy quote, but FC Dallas have responded to LA Galaxy star's preseason claim that he'll "break every record there is" as simply #FakeNews.

In a video that reminds you of those non-stop political ads -- complete with an ominous narrator and some slightly unflattering photos -- FC Dallas point how the 37-year-old Swedish superstar needs 122 goals to break the all-time record.

Not to stop there, the Hoops also state that Ibrahimovic didn't lead in any major stat in 2018.

Nice try, Zlatan? Nice work, FC Dallas. We now await the rebuttal when the teams play each other on Saturday.
