Arsenal fan Piers Morgan forced to wear Spurs shirt live on air after losing derby bet
For Piers Morgan, Arsenal's loss to Tottenham on Wednesday was even more painful than your average North London derby defeat.
The TV presenter, and longtime Arsenal season ticket holder, was on the losing side of a bet with former Spurs striker Peter Crouch, which meant he had to conduct the televised Carabao Cup semifinal draw dressed in a Tottenham shirt.
"I have no idea what hell looks like, obviously, but I'm pretty sure it'll be something like this," a glum-looking Morgan said on the air after Tottenham's 2-0 quarterfinal win, gesturing toward the white shirt he was wearing.
Crouch found it more amusing, and couldn't hide a smirk as Morgan explained the bet to the viewers -- drawing a "stop laughing" comment from Morgan.
But cheer up, Piers, it was all for charity. As part of the bet, Carabao will donate £1,000 to a charity of Crouch's choosing. And don't forget, Arsenal did beat Spurs in the Premier League just a couple of weeks ago.
