Bolivia striker Marcelo Martins gatecrashes Brazil team photo

Keen-eyed viewers may have noticed an impostor creeping into the Brazil team's prematch photo ahead of Thursday night's World Cup qualifier against Bolivia.

That man was Bolivia striker Marcelo Martins who, in slightly unorthodox fashion, was invited to pose with the Selecao having represented Brazil at youth level.

Born in Bolivia to a Brazilian father, Marcelo played for Brazil right the way up until Under-20 level before swapping his international allegiance and going on to earn 63 senior caps for La Verde.

The 30-year-old forward also had a brief stint on loan at Wigan in 2010 but failed to score a single goal in 12 appearances.

Honestly, we'd forgive you for not being able to recall that particular period of his career.

Chris covers the funny side of the game for ESPN FC in the Toe Poke blog.
