MLS referee uses vanishing spray to fend off players during penalty appeal
Policing a crowded penalty area can be a difficult undertaking at the best of times.
However, MLS referee Chris Penso devised a quick and clever way to afford himself some breathing space during LA Galaxy's trip to Minnesota United on Sunday.
When a corner kick resulted in a penalty appeal for handball, Penso used his spray to mark a line on the field and keep the bickering players at bay while he consulted with his official on the sideline.
Drawing a line in the sand, quite literally -- you've simply got to applaud the ingenuity.
