Manchester United's Jesse Lingard buys fans a round of drinks

Despite Manchester United coming up a little short in the Premier League this season, Jesse Lingard was still in a generous mood following his side's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on the final day.

After full-time, the United attacker made his way outside Old Trafford and into the bar at Hotel Football next door where he proceeded to buy a round of drinks for all the fans gathered there.

Fans were quick to praise Lingard's gesture on social media, though the man himself refused to get carried away.

Instead the 24-year-old simply insisted that it was the least he could do given the loyal support he and his teammates had received over the course of the season.

What a smashing gesture. How thoroughly commendable of him.

Being a local(ish) lad himself, it's perhaps little wonder that Lingard appreciates the unwavering support of the Old Trafford natives a little more than most.
