West Ham fan's fundraiser

For the record, Dunn's shot was saved by West Ham goalkeeper, Adrian!

The West Ham fan who ran onto the Upton Park pitch and took a free-kick during the Hammers' opening Premier League game of the season against Tottenham has started an online fundraising appeal to help him pay off his fine.

Jordan Dunn, 22, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court in East London on Monday in order to face his charges over his "drunken moment of madness", with the judge first complimenting his free-kick technique before fining him to the tune of 305 pounds under Section 4 of the Football Offences Act 1991.

The court also heard that Dunn told the policeman who carted him from the pitch that it was his "lifelong dream" to scamper onto the hallowed turf and kick a ball at his beloved Upton Park.

Mission: accomplished, if by fairly expensive means.

Anyway, ever the intrepid soul, Jordan has since set up a fundraising page wherein he invites sympathetic fellow West Ham supporters to donate to his "Fineraiser" account in a bid to help pay off his court debts.

At time of writing, the total donations stand at a pretty impressive 255 pounds.

After all, why should a man have to pay over 300 quid for simply chasing his dream?
