After Malaysia failed to win a single game in 2017, Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson assess Nelo Vingada's future.

Former Malaysia national team boss K. Rajagobal has been appointed as head coach of Malaysia Super League (MSL) side PKNS FC, 19 years after leaving the club.

Rajagobal spent eight years as PKNS head coach from 1990 to 1998 before spells at Selangor and Kelantan preceded his introduction to the national set-up.

The 61-year-old worked his way up from the Under-19 squad to the senior side before his finest moment arrived in 2010.

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and Dez Corkhill discuss Kelantan's great escape from relegation and prospects for the 2018 season.
After Malaysia failed to win a single game in 2017, Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson assess Nelo Vingada's future.

Pahang FA have stunned Malaysian football by turning down the opportunity to take Kedah's place in the 2018 AFC Cup.

This week, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) announced that FA Cup winners Kedah were ineligible as they had failed to submit the necessary documentation on time.

Malaysia Super League (MSL) and FA Cup runners up Pahang were expected to take their place. But the club have released a statement revealing that they had already turned down an invitation from the FAM as they intended...

Tom Rogic sets example for Australian teenage trialists at Celtic

Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson revisit the unresolved situation of Socceroos' coach Ange Postecoglou.
Australia's Mark Milligan and Bailey Wright recap a long qualifying campaign and what to expect from them at the World Cup.

Australian teenagers Nick Faust and Leo Mazis hope to follow in the footsteps of Socceroos star Tom Rogic after a two-week trial with Scottish champions Celtic.

Last month, Canberra United defender Faust and Belconnen United's Leo Mazis joined the Bhoys' first-team squad for two sessions, which allowed them to see the mercurial Rogic at close quarters.

Rogic played a key role in helping Australia qualify for the 2018 World Cup in their 3-1 playoff win over Honduras last week. He has scored a number...

Singapore football in mess due to 'appalling' leadership - Steve Darby

Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson discuss the new rule that will make S.League sides more youthful and examine the future of the national team.
Singapore's Irfan Fandi discusses his preferred position and looks ahead to his side's Asian Cup qualifier against Bahrain.
Tampines Rovers and Singapore winger Hafiz Sujad looks ahead to The Lions' Asian Cup qualifier against Bahrain.

It is sad to see the perilous state of Singapore football.

Forget the FIFA rankings (173rd) as they are not the key issue. More important is the record of the national teams because professional football is a results' game. We've also seen the decline of the S. League in terms of crowds, sponsors and quality of players.

Appalling leadership, including a fixation on an ASEAN Super League that was never going to happen, has seen Singapore go from a leader in Southeast Asia to one of the worst in the...

Singapore midfielder Hariss Harun to benefit from MSL rule at JDT

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and Dez Corkhill discuss Kelantan's great escape from relegation and prospects for the 2018 season.

The Malaysian Super League (MSL) is following Thailand's lead by introducing a squad place for an ASEAN player, in addition to three foreigners and one Asian.

After the Football Malaysia LLP (FMLLP) endorsed the change in policy on Sunday, the new rule will come into effect from the 2018 season, and will be in place for at least five years.

The previous statute allowed for four foreign players and one from Asia, so the new ruling is very much designed to encourage Malaysian teams to import the...
