Goals in England vs. Croatia? Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku to score first?
It won't make up for the heartbreak suffered in Russia, but a youthful England side will be hoping to settle a few scores when they face Croatia on a busy weekend of international action.
Running total: -£12.97
Croatia are unbeaten in 20 matches on home soil but have to play Friday's Nations League clash against England behind closed doors, so a young Three Lions side should not be fazed by the prospect of a meeting with Zlatko Dalic's men. Croatia were sensational at times during the World Cup but have not won a game since they played England in the semifinals, and were on the receiving end of a 6-0 walloping by Spain last time out. Since that 2-1 defeat, Gareth Southgate has been rewarded with a new contract and has called up a host of young faces -- including the precocious duo Jadon Sanchez and Mason Mount -- as England build towards Euro 2020. England have scored first in their last three meetings with Croatia so it will be interesting to see how Southgate approaches this. You could make a case for either side winning but the route to profit could be backing a few goals. Both teams have scored in six of the last eight meetings between these team so backing both to notch in Rijeka at 10/11 with bet365 looks a fair shout.
The Tasty Treble
Germany look an inviting prospect at 11/10 to beat Netherlands on Saturday. The Dutch have failed to qualify for their last two major tournaments and even though results under Ronald Koeman have improved the Germans still look a class above. So too Portugal, who are 21/20 to beat Scotland on Sunday. Alex McLeish's men have lost seven of their last nine friendlies so evens on a win for the reigning European champions looks a fine price. Adding Portugal and Germany into a treble with Belgium (1/2) -- who should be too hot for Switzerland on home soil -- offers punters a solid roll up paying almost 11/2 with bet365.
Selection: £3 on the treble at 5.45/1 with bet365.

The First Goal Flutter
Marcus Rashford has yet to scale the heights for Manchester United this season but reports suggest he has looked electric in training for England over the past few days and he might be worth a punt at 6/1 to score first on Friday evening. The 20-year-old has already scored twice for England this season -- against Spain and Switzerland -- so the bookies could be underestimating him.
Selection: £1 on Rashford to score first at 6/1 with bet365.
The Euro wager
Romelu Lukaku's goals per games ratio for Belgium is already remarkable and the Manchester United man looks a good bet at 3/1 to score first against Switzerland on Friday. Since the start of the 2017-18 season Lukaku has scored a ton of goals for his country, and bagged two as they got their Nations League campaign off to a winning start against Iceland last month.
Selection: £2 on Lukaku to score first at 3/1 with bet365.
The Wildcard Tip
Republic of Ireland host Denmark on Saturday and the bookmakers have Denmark down as pretty solid favourites. However with Christian Eriksen almost certain to miss out as he recovers from an abdominal injury it could pay to back a draw in Dublin. Last November Eriksen put the Irish to the sword as he scored three during a 5-1 World Cup playoff second leg romp. However it should be a much more keenly contested fixture this time round and a stalemate would not be a huge surprise.
Selection: £2 on No Goalscorer at 11/2 with bet365.
