Spain to show World Cup credentials, Cavani can inspire Uruguay
The column correctly tipped both teams to score in Italy's game against Netherlands but we hit the bar in calling Belgium to beat Egypt 2-0 at 9/2, with an injury-time third goal from Marouane Fellaini stitching us up.

The Home Banker
Spain are unbeaten in 19 games under Julen Lopetegui and can showcase their credentials for Russia 2018 when they meet Tunisia in Krasnodar on Saturday evening. They won nine out of 10 qualifiers and served notice to the world with a 6-1 drubbing of Argentina back in March. Tunisia are no mugs and proved as much in drawing 0-0 with Portugal recently but La Roja look a class above and having kept clean sheets in five of their last night matches 5/6 about them winning this to nil looks a cracking shout.
Selection: £6 on Spain to win to nil at 5/6 with bet365
The Tasty Treble
Brazil are warm favourites to beat Austria on Sunday but may not have things all their own way. Both teams to score is a 5/6 shout and worth considering given Austria have scored at least once in each of their last eight games. France, meanwhile, should be too hot for USA on Friday and backing them at 8/15 to cover a one goal handicap in Lyon looks the way to bet. The United States have lost all three previous meetings against Les Bleus. Finally, Croatia (3/4) can be trusted to get the better of a Senegal side who drew 0-0 with Luxembourg recently. The teams have never met before but Croatia look to have greater strength in depth and can deliver for a treble paying almost 4/1.
Selection: £3 on the treble at 3.91/1 with bet365
The Euro Wager
Spain have been in search of a front man who will get them goals and former Chelsea star Diego Costa could now fill that role having hit six goals in his last eight internationals. La Roja are 9/2 to be leading after 10 minutes against Uzbekistan and they have enough quality to get on the board early on Saturday

The Wildcard Tip
Uruguay are seen by some pundits as live outsiders in Russia (they are currently 28/1 in the betting with bet365) and they complete their preparation with a fairly low key friendly with Uzbekistan in the early hours of Friday morning. The latter are rated 88 by FIFA and shouldn't pose much of a threat. Edison Cavani, who hit 40 goals got club and country this season, is 9/4 to score two goals or more for La Celeste and that looks tempting given the level of opposition.
The Bookie Basher
Germany are among the favourites for the World Cup (9/2 with bet365) but their preparation has been pretty unspectacular thus far. That 2-1 loss to Austria last weekend may act as a wake up call and any squad that can leave out the irascible Leroy Sane must be decent. They face a Saudi Arabia side on Friday that has lost all eight previous games they've played on European soil and the smart money here is on Germany to win convincingly.
Selection: £2 on Germany to win 4-0 at 5/1 with bet365
