Man United's Lukaku ruled out of Belgium game with foot injury

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is out of Belgium's Euro 2020 qualifier in Cyprus on Sunday with a foot injury.

Lukaku sat out United's FA Cup defeat at Wolves last weekend and also missed Belgium's qualifying win over Russia on Thursday, with the Belgian FA confirming that he would not be fit to play against Cyprus.

In a statement on Twitter, the association said: "@RomeluLukaku9 will not travel with us to Cyprus this morning due to a foot injury. Get well soon, Romelu!"

Speaking ahead of the Wolves game, United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said Lukaku had suffered the injury in training and was being assessed.

It remains to be seen whether Lukaku will be able to play in United's game at home to Watford next Saturday.
